About Me.

Hi,

I’m Liz! Supporting families has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked with children and their families in various settings, from camps and daycares to Algonquin College and as an Early Childhood Educator in Full-Day Kindergarten for the past 12 years.

As a mom to two amazing kids, I bring personal experience to my work. Both of my children bring joy and their own unique challenges to our lives. I’ve spent years advocating for my son to ensure he receives the support he needs to navigate school and its challenges, while our spirited daughter, Hope, keeps our days bright and full of energy.

These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the challenges families face. I’m here to help parents navigate routines, school systems, and big emotions with confidence and support.

Understanding Behaviour Through Self-Regulation

A big part of my approach comes from Dr. Stuart Shanker's work on self-regulation, which has transformed how I view kids’ behaviour and the impact of stress.

Through a course at the MEHRIT Institute, I gained tools to identify hidden stressors and practical strategies to help kids feel calmer and more in control. This perspective helps me support families in creating routines and environments that foster emotional well-being, making life a little easier for everyone.

Building Connections Through Inclusion and Support

I’m passionate about helping families navigate parenting, with a special love for supporting kids on the Autism Spectrum.

I’ve been fortunate to work in a school with dedicated Autism classes, where I spearheaded reverse integration with our kindergarten program. This initiative, which brought neurotypical and autistic children together in meaningful interactions, was incredibly fulfilling and reinforced my belief in the power of inclusion and connection.

Through training at the Geneva Centre for Autism, I gained tools to connect with kids on the spectrum, meet them where they are, and create strategies tailored to their needs. I believe every child can grow and connect when we understand their world. My goal is to celebrate strengths, tackle challenges, and create a positive, supportive space for families to thrive

My time in Ontario’s Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK) program gave me invaluable insight into supporting families. Working closely with children, parents, allied health professionals, and educators taught me how kids grow, learn, and navigate big emotions, while also showing me how much parents want to help their kids.

This experience shaped my approach—building parents’ confidence and providing practical tools to handle challenges. By fostering strong routines and connections between home and school, I aim to make life easier and more joyful for families.
